The Department of Paediatrics at Giggles by OMNI is committed to the betterment of children’s health through excellence in evidence-based practice and academic perfection. In keeping with our passion for academic excellence, a new milestone for Giggles is that we have started providing post-graduation courses in paediatrics as a diploma under the national board under the academic year 2019 to 2020.
The core principle of dealing with a sick child is to have strong knowledge on basic science.The art of having confidence in the basics the speciality is achieved by having regular academic sessions, all of which are led by our talented academic Dr Radhakrishna, who has been a pioneer in the field for over 30 years. The team of general paediatrics is meticulously spread throughout the day and night with over 25 qualified paediatricians. The overall care of a child in the hospital is completed with the help of these sub-speciality services when needed. We provide the following sub-specialties:

Paediatric Critical Care:
Our paediatric critical care department is well-backed with a number of resources, and ensures well-integrated state-of-the-art emergency medical care for critically sick children.
The paediatric critical care team includes:

- Paediatric emergency fellows
- Paediatric junior consultants and registrars
- Paediatric critical care nursing staff
Our team is exceptionally trained in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and core knowledge includes training in advanced life support (PALS) and basic life support (BLS)
Our critical care department has a PICU with 9 beds and an HDU with 5 beds. We take in more than 1,800 PICU admissions per year which includes more than 400 invasive ventilated cases per year.

Emergency Medical Services for Children Our hospital caters 24×7 optimised emergency medical and surgical services for acutely ill or injured paediatric patients by an integrated continuum of care model by qualified paediatricians, intensivists (paediatrics and neonatal), paediatric surgeons, neurosurgeons and plastic surgeons.

General Paediatrics: The department of general paediatrics includes a team of 25 qualified paediatricians, led by the talented academician Dr Radhakrishna, who has 32 years of experience in the field.
